With 11 medical schools that provide Singapore students qualifications approved by the Singapore Medical Council (SMC), Australia is quickly becoming a popular destination for students aspiring to study medicine.
However, for students looking for undergraduate medicine programmes, the number is realistically lower. Of these 11 schools registered with SMC, only three schools offer undergraduate programmes. These three schools are:

The total duration of the course is 5 years.
These 5 years is structured into campus based learning and hospital or community based learning.

Students applying from Singapore can apply using either their A-levels or IB Diploma results.
Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-levels
- AAA
- A for Chemistry and Biology
International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma
- 39 overall points
- Chemistry can be taken at either Standard Level (SL) or Higher Level (HL)
- For Chemistry taken at SL, applicants should score a 5.
- For Chemistry taken at HL, applicants should score a 4.
- English is a compulsory subject requirement.
All students applying into Monash medical school will be required to sit for the ISATs.

2. The University of New South Wales, Faculty of Medicine
Duration of Course
The total duration of the course is 6 years.
These 6 years is structured into three phases.
Phase 1

- Integrated scenario-based learning in biomedical, clinical and social sciences
- Clinical and communication skills training
Phase 2
- Integrated Clinical courses and Independent learning project or Honours
- Clinical exposure in hospital placements
Phase 3
