ENTRANCE TEST PREPARATION
Entrance tests are equally as crucial as the common and supplementary app in the role they play for university admissions. Without meeting the minimum score, applicants will not be considered for further selection rounds. It is a challenge to prepare for specialised tests considering each applicant’s own academic workload at school. Test preparation is instrumental in shortening the Student’s learning curve. QC and mentors provide insider insights, key guidance, content and pedagogy, which are instrumental in order to shorten the learning curve and maximise study efficiency and performance.
US ENTRANCE TESTS PREPARATION
General Tests
The Scholastic Assessment Tests (SATs), Advanced Placement (AP) Tests and American College Tests (ACTs) are tests most university applicants would require. These exams are designed to test comprehension, critical thinking skills and arithmetic abilities. The SATs are scored on scales between 400 and 1600 and the ACTs are scored between 1 and 36. Mentors will review all components like reading, writing, and mathematics to provide comprehensive coverage for the exam.
Course Specific Tests
In the US, course specific tests typically apply for Masters or Graduate programmes.
For instance, an individual hoping to study Law in any US institution will be required to sit the Law School Admission Tests (LSATs). In order to take a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), one will need to sit the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) and for Medical School, the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT).

Types of Specialised Tests
Some schools conduct further assessments to gauge each candidate’s aptitude. For instance, UK law schools require the LNAT, and UK medical schools require the UCAT. Some of these tests can be exceedingly tough (Olympiad level) and require applicants to work out answers from first principles. Mentors will review all components of the tests, including academic content and critical thinking framework.

OUR SUCCESSFUL MENTEES
The mock Economics Admissions Assessment (ECAA) reviews greatly helped me in my preparations for the actual test. It gave me a better understanding of how the test will be conducted and the weekly sessions also helped me to identify gaps in my preparation, helping me be more confident and prepared during the test.

QE’s mock TSA prep helped me hone my critical thinking skills rigorously and prepared me for how the actual TSA test was like. I was also exposed to various types of TSA questions. This was especially useful for me as I usually need practice for the trickier questions. QE’s mentors have been great!
