We have 150 mentors. They studied at Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, Yale and other universities our students apply to. Each one coaches what they know first-hand.
Medicine and healthcare ethics
Educated at Raffles Institution and NUS Medicine, now a specialist surgeon with more than ten years in public and private hospitals. Has sat on interview boards, including NUS and NTU, and has mentored over 100 candidates for medicine in Singapore and overseas. Coaches local and overseas medical admissions, situational judgement and healthcare ethics.
Cambridge and UK medicine
Educated at ACS (Independent) and the University of Cambridge, now a surgical house officer in London. Finished in the top ten of his cohort. Has mentored students applying to medicine at Cambridge, Imperial, UCL and Edinburgh, and works with them at each stage of the application.
Law
A partner at a large law firm, working in dispute resolution and litigation. NUS Law graduate, and an instructor to NUS law students. Shares real cases and his own experience so students can work out why they want a career in law, and teaches them to think independently and weigh several sides of an argument.
Economics and academic writing
Graduated summa cum laude in Economics from Columbia, then took a master's in Economics at Cambridge. Won the Prime Minister's Book Prize as the top student across O and A Levels. Works with students on portfolios, research projects and competitions such as the John Locke Essay Competition, and is strongest on academic writing: clear arguments, evidence, precise language.
Business, economics and Singapore universities
Educated at Raffles Institution, then a first-class honours double degree in Business and Economics at SMU on the Lee Kong Chian scholarship. Has taught IB Economics and Business to over 1,000 students across more than ten years, and has guided over 100 students into NUS, NTU, SMU, Oxford, Cambridge and LSE, among others. Background in corporate banking, entrepreneurship and finance.
Oxford PPE and US applications
First-class honours in Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford, specialising in econometrics and quantitative social science, now doing a master's in Data Science at Harvard. Held offers for master's programmes at Stanford and Columbia too. Had outstanding SAT scores before Oxford, and was president of the Oxford University Asia-Pacific Society.
